I have a confession . . . . I still use plastic bags from the grocery store for my groceries. I guess It seems I'm not green enough to upgrade to the reusable bags but I don't get it. I reuse ALL my bags from the grocery store for our garbage cans here at home. And I use the plastic bags from the produce to wrap diapers in and throw those away. If I didn't reuse these grocery store plastic bags I would be buying plastic bags to line our trash cans. So why should I buy reusable grocery store bags just so I can buy plastic garbage bags too? Seems to me like some of this "going green" is more about "spending green". Or maybe I need some enlightenment. Am I missing something? What do you guys do?

Respect your thinking Ondria.
I was about to say, what are you doing up so early this morning to post already today, but then I saw the time was actually late last night. I'm relieved! :)
I am with you on that. Then, you have to remember to take the reuseables to the store with all the kids and the list. How in the heck am I supposed to do that?
I have thought about this as well. I am all for things to better our world however I too reuse my plastic bags in my garbages here at home and yeah I just don't get it. Maybe I am missing something too! Gotta love having the bags for the poopies too huh!
We reuse our grocery sacks too.
And I TOTALLY agree on the whole "spending green" idea. Very observant!!
;)
I just empty the smaller trash cans into the large kitchen trash bag. If the smaller trash cans get dirty I put them in the dishwasher to get clean. As for my reusable bags, I store them under the driver seat in the car, then I don't have to remember to take them to the store.
We reuse our plastic bags, but I'm not necessarily opposed to the "green bags". My big going green thing will be when I have another kid. I plan on using some type of cloth diaper. Diapers in the landfills really get to me.
I'm not opposed to the green bags either. I want to help out in the whole green thing and everytime I see a cute green bag I'm tempted to buy it. But, we even use the grocery store bags in the kitchen. I do not buy any plastic garbage bags. So I guess this is one that I just don't get.
I know what you mean. :)
