Calling all family, friends, acquaintances, bloggers, and lurkers. Bring your bags and and your citrus pickers. We have a lemon tree that every year produces enough lemons that it could provide all the lemon needs for a small country. So PLEASE do not buy another lemon if you need lemons come get some from our tree. Think of all the possibilities . . .nice refreshing lemonade, lemon chicken, salad with lemon and olive oil, homemade salsa, a cool lemon cheesecake, a nice centerpiece filled with lemons . . .I'm sure you have a few ideas of your own. Come on guys free lemons!!! Hope to see you soon.

P.S. If you don't know where we live I can email you our address.

Little Nudist

Heath and Chelsea it must be something in the air. We got home from the gym. I went to take my shoes off and when I came back out this is what I saw. . . At least it was in our own backyard. But it took me that long to get my shoes off. How the heck did he get all his clothes off that fast?

Happy Easter!!!

It started Saturday morning with the Easter egg hunt in the park. The kids found a few eggs but I think the most exciting part was Uncle Chris finding a ladybug. They had to all take turns holding it until it finally flew away.

Then we headed home to color our own Easter eggs. DJ loved it so much that he kept putting all the eggs that were already colored back in a different color. So all our eggs ended up a nice purple color. Good thing there were only three colors to use, blue, pink and yellow.

That night we went to the Easter Pageant. DJ wanted to be Jesus and AJ wanted to be the bad guys. Then they both decided to be the bad guys because they have swords and Papi would be Jesus.

And the next morning was Easter, lots of candy, a few toys, and more candy. They were so wired we didn't make it to Sacrament Meeting. I wasn't even going to attempt it. So I think maybe next year the Easter Bunny will come while we're at church. Then we can actually make it to church on Easter Sunday.

One good thing did come of us missing the first hour of church though. The kids actually let me take some really cute pictures of them in their cute Easter clothes.

After church we headed over to Grandma's for Easter dinner. YUM! And we also had another Easter egg hunt. This time they were able to find a lot more eggs. That was it for our Easter. Hope you all had a Happy Easter!

Hanging Out at Aunt Janalyn's

We had so much fun on Thursday thanks to Aunt Janalyn. While I painted she entertained the kiddos. And from the pictures I'm thinking I want Janalyn to entertain me next time too.

They got to have a picnic outside on Janalyn's super nice grass.

They got to run though the Nemo sprinkler!

And just to make things that much better, even Grandma got to come help. It does not come any better than food, water and Grandma.

And this picture I think is super cute so I just have to post it. Isabel is trying to show Cicily how good food can be. We've found that she can be pretty convincing at times.

We all had a great time although I think by the time my kids were done I needed to pay Janalyn for her services and broken items. (Sorry, about the dishes and anything else that may have gotten kid attacked!) Thank you so much for letting us come over.

New Mural

So Maya's room turned out SUPER cute. Thanks Janalyn for letting me paint it. Here's the before of the the purple walls. Sorry, I guess it's not completely before I had already started to paint (thus, the beautiful painting clothes) but you get the idea.

And here's the after. Janalyn had a canvas painting of a flower that she liked so we used that for our inspiration and went from there. You can see the canvas painting hanging on the wall in the picture on the left. And Maya is the lucky girl in the middle. Maya, I hope you LOVE your room. Thanks for letting me paint it.

Wannabe Gardener

That's me. I would love to have a garden and fresh vegetables and fruit and know all about flowers and all that stuff. Unfortunately, I have a very UNgreen thumb. I kill everything. But I try. I figure my grandmother was an excellent gardener so it must be in my blood somewhere I just have to find it. I have managed to keep tomatoes alive. I've done it before and Alexandria loved it. Here's our tomato plants so far this year. One of the advantages of living in AZ is we have lots of seasons to plant. So the two really big ones we actually planted in October.

And here's our newest additions.

Starting from left to right, an avocado tree, strawberries and an ice cream banana tree. YUM! Okay so maybe I was guided by my stomach more than my brain when I purchased these. Like I'm going to be able to keep these alive. Plus, the fact that we live in a desert and these are tropical trees (not the strawberries) . . . I'm not sure these are going to have any chance at all. But they do sell them here and I have done some research on line and you can grow them here. They're just not native to AZ. I would love to have a tropical paradise in our backyard. So, here's to hoping that by some miracle I can actually keep them alive. Oh, and any advice is always super appreciated too.

Another DJ Quotable

Me: I love you DJ. Promise me you'll always be good and tell the truth.

DJ: Yeah, I just say AJ did it.

Is this kid for real? He's so quick. I'm going to have to work on that just to keep up with him.

Dirty Diaper Talk

So I was putting the boys down to bed when the following conversation took place (before you read it you need to know that my boys wear diapers to bed because I'm not ready to deal with washing sheets every day yet):

Me: DJ get in bed.

DJ: Oh, wait, I have poo-poos in my diaper. Dang it!

Me: DJ . . . .

DJ: Yeah Mommy, just dang it! Dang it!

Me: Okay, come get your diaper changed. (I leave the room to get the wipes and AJ and DJ have the following exchange.)

AJ: DJ why you go poo-poos in your diaper? That doesn't make Mommy very happy.

DJ: Shhh AJ! Isabel's sleeping.

Okay maybe you had to be there to really enjoy the whole conversation but it was pretty funny the way DJ said "dang it" and the little conversation after I left to get the wipes. I was pretty mad about having to change his diaper but good thing I had to walk out of the room to get the wipes because I had to laugh.

Fitness Friday - Diet Soda

We've all seen it. Some of us maybe even do it. Someone orders a "Diet" soda but then orders the supersize french fry. Then they sit back and wonder why they're gaining weight. For awhile people have said it's not the diet soda making us gain weight it's the extra amount of calories that people consume because they think they're skimping on the diet soda. Well, finally, new studies have shown that the artifical sweetner in diet soda maybe actually causing people to gain weight by altering their brain's chemical make-up and putting them at risk for a variety of metabolic diseases. I don't like soda. I think it's a terrible mix of a variety of poisons for your body. But if you're still not convinced and if you want more information on the study you can watch this.

Mostly pictures for Papi

I don't think you got to see these pictures of our fishing trip.

Lovely Girl

The Boys and their sticks

This girl LOVES her Papi

Thanks for the good times. We love you!

Bean Burritos and PB&Js

Papi left a couple of days ago. :( But that means that we can go back to bean burritos for dinner and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch. :) Makes my day a little easier. And this girl just can't get enough food! I ate one of these burritos and that was enough. Isabel had two whole big burritos tonight. You should see this girl when we put her in her high chair to eat. It's definately her favorite time of day. Her eyes get big and her face lights up. She loves mealtime!

I like big butts!

"Mommy, you have a chubby butt. It's as chubby as Isabel's cheeks." --Alexandria
