On Her Way

Did you ever have an olympic dream as a kid?
Alexandria does.
She wants to be an olympic ice skater.

I'm super happy that she has found something she loves.
She had her first show last weekend.
If you know Alexandria at home she's loud but if you know her out of the house you know she's shy.
She didn't even want to do the ice show because she was afraid of falling and performing in front of people.
But as soon as we stepped into the long dark hallway to go to the dressing room the night of the show her whole energy changed.
"Now I'm excited." Her voice shrieked as she told me.
I could feel her adrenaline and her excitement.

There were four shows.
Every time she stepped out on the ice in her Aristocat costume that frozen, cold ice brought out her warm, confident, bubbly personality like nothing I have ever seen, soaking up the attention like she had been doing it her whole life.  She was a natural!

I'd say she's on her way to that dream.
Papi you better start making bank because we've got some olympic lessons to pay for.

Professional pic of her on ice here and here.

such darling pics! Being a former dance teacher, I love all things dance - even ice skating! She'll use her dance lessons in skating sooo much too!

I only taught little ones for a short time, but the recitals were just awesome. The 'babies' (4-6 y.o.) would always steal the show.

Thanks for sharing!
