Old Habits Die Hard

"Campo" - farmland in the Dominican Republic. People from the "campo" are very poor. Lots of times the children don't have shoes and they have very few clothes. So the kids happily walk around naked and barefoot down the dirt sidewalks. Papi is from the "campo".

And while you can take the boy out of the campo and give him all the present technology. . .

you just can't take the campo out of the boy. Although, thankfully he has learned to use clothes, most of the time.

By the way, this comes from the man who now even has to wear house shoes in the house.

What can I say, only that he is a "real" man. I don't like dirt under my fingernails, can't imagine all that between my toes!!
