Seeds of Faith

My challenge to take a picture every day during the month of August started today with me wanting a picture of AJ.  I had a cute quote of his that I wanted to post and I needed a picture of him to post it.

But after following AJ around with the camera for a few minutes,
my quick picture of him turned into more.
My boys had a lesson on faith today.
They got little containers filled with dirt and grass seeds.
We've had that lesson on faith before.

AJ even planted an apple seed to see if it would grow.
He took very good care of his seed.
He used a cup and took water to it every day.
Then we redid the backyard.
He cried when he saw the big tractors running over the place he had planted his apple tree.
His apple seed would be crushed and his tree wouldn't be able to grow.
I tried to console his fears and told him not to worry because we were going to make a nice place for his apple seed to grow and when his apple seed had a nice place to begin it's life it would start growing.
He just needed a little bit of faith.
Sometimes God performs miracles in our lives because of our faith and sometimes miracles happen because someone makes them happen. It doesn't matter how the miracle happens either way it's through our faith that we see these things come to pass.

AJ loves his apple tree.
Today he wanted his picture taken with his tree.
He noticed that the leaves are dry.
Apple trees struggle in this desert heat.
So he took out some water in some little cups and he watered the tree.

Just like he did for the seed he planted.

Then he noticed something growing on his tree.
Not only did he recognize it, but he knew what it meant.

His tree is going to get apples.
